So, I appreciate Ben Folds more than most artist out there and respect him even more than that. I love his quirky qualities to his music. If you can get past the hook and who wrote this actual song, the talent these musicians present is actually quite impressive.

Enjoy!:)

Brick | Ben Folds Five

I loved this song back in the 90s. My mom was a huge Ben Folds fan so, when I wasn’t forced to listen to the Beatles or Pink Floyd, I could safely assume I’d be hearing a lot of this song. As I grew up and fell into venus flytrap known as the world of boy bands, I fell out of touch with the real music the 90s were producing. When I rediscovered this song (and this band in general) I could’ve shot myself in the foot.

Happy Throwback Tuesday everyone! What are some of your oldies but goodies?

Bitches Ain’t Shit / Ben Folds

I dare someone to make me give them a reason why I chose this song. Actually, that sounded mean and intimidating, and I apologize. But really, do I need to explain my logic here? However, I will if I must.

One: it’s fucking Ben Folds.
Two: I once read in an interview that he played this song for his grandmother; she really loved it (she thought the piano was nice) until she realized what he was saying.
Three: how can anyone cover this with such seriousness?

Regardless, I have an older-man crush on Mr. Folds. Hence why this is my choice for Cover Tuesday.
